Microsoft Excel: Use a template for data export

Objective

The objective of this page is to demonstrate how you can use an Excel template that was previously uploaded into the system. With predefined templates, you can then use the downloaded file to analyze, sort, view trends and more.

Prerequisites

  • Start in HR HUB
  • Open the area you want to create an Excel file for (e.g. Employees)
  • On the top ribbon click on Excel Templates
  • Select the desired template 
  • Click on Download Template
    • Careful: You need to select your desired template first. If you just click on 'Download Template' in this drop-down, you will download an empty Template file.
  • The file will now automatically be created from the available data in the area, based on the selected template, and then open in Microsoft Excel

Hint

  • Since many templates can be uploaded, you can use Excel templates according to your needs, for example to analyze costs.
  • By default, this functionality is restricted to System Administrators.
