Create an App User

Objective

The objective of this page is to show how to create an App user for your integration between Datafox and Dynamics 365.

Prerequisites

  • You are System Administrator
  • You have already done the App Registration for Datafox

Click Through

  • Start in the Power Platform admin center
  • Click on Environments
  • Select the correct environment
  • Click on Settings
  • Under Users + permissions, click on Application users
  • Click on + New app user
  • On the right side, click on + Add an app
  • Select from the list the one that you created during App Registration and click on Add
  • Add the business unit – this is the environment that you are using
  • Click on the pencil icon next to 'Security Roles' to add them
  • Select Hubdrive HR App Administrator
  • Save
  • Click on Create

Hint

  • If you did a customization on the standard security role (which is not recommended), instead of having the name Hubdrive HR App Administrator, the security role may be called xrm1 HR App Administrator.
