The MFA serves as an additional layer of security for your company. The user confirms their identity when logging into Hubdrive via an app on their mobile device.
Set up Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
Objective
Prerequisites
Before installing the solution, make sure you have already set up Microsoft Authenticator App or your phone number as your MFA for the user you want to use for installing the solution.
Click Through
- Visit the website https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
- Log in with your user name and password
- It asks "Action Required" to enable MFA, click Next.
- It redirects to a new page and asks you to log in using the Authenticator app or a code
- A window for enabling the MFA appears
- Click on Next
- You will be navigated to the MFA page, where you can enter the Authenticator app or your mobile phone number for authentication
- Click on Next
- If you want to use the Microsoft Authenticator app:
- Open the app on your mobile device, scan the QR code and follow the further instructions
- If you want to use a mobile phone number:
- Click on "I want to set up a different method"
- Once you have scanned the QR code (Microsoft Authenticator app), you will be prompted to try the app
- Once you have entered the number from the app notification, the MFA setup is complete
- You can now install the installer with the same user
- After entering the user name and password, you will receive a prompt "Approve sign in request"
- Enter the code in the MFA app on the mobile device and the Solution Installer will proceed with the installation
Hint
- If you see an error message "Update your browser" logging into the solution installer, it means that your MFA is not set up for the account you are using to install the solution. Follow the guide above to solve the problem.
