Manager/Employee-Reviews: Performance Review

Objective

The objective of this guide is to instruct managers and supervisors on the completion of Performance Reviews that take place between managers, supervisors, and their employees. Performance Reviews are used to assess the competence of an employee based on a specified Skill in order to ascertain whether further training is required to improve the employee's performance in a gained Skillset or Skill Level.

Process

HR Manager
Identifies the requirement for Performance Reviews between employees and their management team
HR Manager
Creates and distributes the review for the manager and employee to conduct performance reviews

Click Through

  • Start in HR HUB
  • Under Talent Management, click on Reviews
  • Click on + New
  • Fill the required fields:
    • Name the review
    • Select the Employee who the review is for
    • Select the appropriate Template for the Review, ensuring that the Template is set up for Performance Review
    • Date: Select the date that the Review is due to be completed
    • Valid Until: Select the date that this Review is valid until
    • Next Review Date: Select the date that the follow-up, or, next review is due to take place
    • Completed: Leave on 'No' until the Review action has taken place and all stages are complete, with the end result being accomplished. Then, set to 'Yes'.
  • Save & Close

Hint

  • Under the Tab 'Targets', every review target (required skill) for the employee is listed.
  • The 'Target Achievements' graphic in the 'Summary' tab changes when targets within the review are set to 'achieved'. This way, you can see at one glance how many of the review targets the employee has already achieved.
  • HR Managers and Supervisors can edit the review. Employees have read-only access to their reviews.

Tips & Tricks

If you were not able to complete a Performance Review with your employee as described above, please check the following:
  • Supervisor and HR Manager have valid licenses assigned
  • Digital Personnel File has been created and HR Manager and Supervisor are assigned to them
  • For Performance Review: the employee has a training record
