This section shows how HR Managers and Supervisors can change the approved leave request of an employee, in the case of sickness during vacation. This process is called "splitting" the leave request.
It ensures that leave days with a valid sick certificate will not be deducted from the employee's vacation leave entitlement.

- HR Managers start in HR HUB
- Supervisors start in HR HUB Manager Self-Services and in the lower left corner, switch from 'My Time & Leave' to Manager Self-Services
- Under Administration, click on Employees
- Open the file of the desired employee
- Go to the tab Leave & Absence
- Open the Leave Request that needs to be changed by double-clicking on it
- Click on the button Modify Leave Request
- As action to perform, select Split Leave Request
- Enter the end date for the 1st half of the absence
- Specify the Absence Type (e.g. vacation) for the 1st part of the absence
- Specify the Absence Type (e.g. sickness) for the 2nd part of the absence
- Click on Next
- Click on Close
Hint
- This process can be done by an HR Manager or by the employee's supervisor.
Result
After changing the leave request, the system will automatically change the entries in the Absence Calendar and recalculate the employee's leave entitlement.
