Enable virtual tables (via BC)
Objective
In this tutorial, you will learn how to activate the virtual tables from the AppSource offer. This step is necessary to connect Hubdrive with Business Central.
Prerequisites
- You are the System Administrator
- Rollup 46 installed (or any above version)
- BC Connection setup
- Install Appsource offer from Hubdrive
Click Through
- Start in your Business Central environment
- Search for Dataverse Connection Setup using the search function in the top-ribbon
- Once the pop-up appears, go to the tab Virtual Tables
- Click on Available Virtual Tables
- Use the filter hubdrive/bc/v1.0 on the API Route column
- Select all of the results by clicking on the three dots in one of the entries and then on Select more
- On the ribbon, click on Enable
- Go Back to your Business Central Starting page
- Scroll down to Job queue tasks
- Click on tasks in queue
- Check if all tasks with the title Enable CDS Virtual tables have the status Ready
- Wait till none of those Tasks remain in the task queue or are still in process
- Search for Dataverse Connection Setup using the search function in the top-ribbon
- Once the pop-up appears, go to the tab Virtual Tables
- Click on Available Virtual Tables
- Use the filter hubdrive/bc/v1.0 on the API Route column
- Click on any one of the entities. The button Enable should be greyed out now
- Virtual entities are marked as visible now
Hint
- If the virtual tables are marked as In Process, it means that the enabling process is not finished, and you need to wait until the status is changed to Visible
