Create Skill Levels for a Certificate

Objective

The Training & eLearning Module offers users the ability to create Certificates that contain Exams and, crucially, Skill Levels, that can be achieved by employees.

Skill Levels comprise of the Skill and the Skill Grades, which provide a detailed breakdown that can be applied to multiple Exams and Certificates.

That enables a tiered structure for distinguishing ability across the employee base.

Hint

  • All required Skill Grades should be assigned to the necessary Skill to ensure that they are available for the Skill Level record creation.
  • Skill Levels are required to have an Exam assigned to them in order for the employee to receive an Exam where this Skill Level is achievable.
  • Skill Levels should always be recorded as 'Template' when being created, this is because a duplicate copy is automatically created in the Rollout Center that becomes a 'Usage' record for the employee. You can read more about this here.
  • Skill Levels with the Type 'Template' can only be assigned to Exams with the Exam Type 'Template'. For more information on Exams, use this link.
  • Skill Levels with the Type 'Template' can only be assigned to Certificates with the Certificate Type 'Template'. For more information on Certificates, use this link.
